Hating White People is Cultural Appropriation

We’re hearing a lot about cultural appropriation these days, and it’s a topic that I think is pretty stupid, and I’m not going to spend much time talking about it. However, it occurred to me earlier that “hating white people” is cultural appropriation.

For obvious reasons, hating “the white man” didn’t originate with white people. It originated with black people as a response to systemic oppression and racism. Not all black people hate white people, obviously, but it certainly wasn’t gay people who invented hatred of gay people, trans people who invented hatred of trans people, or white people who invented hatred of white people. In every real sense, “hating the white man” and “hating the white devil” are aspects of black culture and Middle Eastern culture.

By adopting this battle cry as your own, white liberals, you are undermining their struggle and appropriating their culture. The black people of whom we’re discussing were abused, enslaved, and oppressed by the white man, and came to hate “him” as a result. You didn’t suffer through that, and adopting their response to that suffering cheapens what they actually went through. It’s the worst kind of cultural appropriation.

So I’m sorry to break this to you, but if you’re white and hate the white man or hate on the white man, you’re guilty of cultural appropriation. Those weren’t your struggles, and that’s not your mantra. That expression–“I hate the white man” is a reaction to widespread abuse and hardship that you didn’t go through. You didn’t suffer through that, you haven’t gone through what they went through, and you haven’t earned the right to hate the white man.

^ Cultural appropriation.

If we want to talk about cultural appropriation, let’s talk about how liberals have appropriated hatred of white people, in the process coopting and undermining the significant and pervasive struggles that led to that hatred. If you condemn white people for making burritos because that’s a hispanic dish, then you have to condemn white people for hating the white man because that’s a black dish.

So, to the white liberals who hate white people, you’re guilty of cultural appropriation. Not only that, but look at what you’re appropriating! You’re appropriating their entire struggle, their response to generations of slavery, rights denial, and abuse. If you think it’s “wrong” to culturally appropriate a burrito, then how wrong is it to appropriate the entire struggle of a race?

Increasing Fundamentalism Portends Serious Problems

When I first saw the flier posted and attributed to the Emerald City Antifa group, I admittedly thought it was genuine–and I still think it’s very likely that a member of the group took the initiative and posted it, though without permission from the group. Of course, Emerald City Antifa has disavowed the flier and denied having anything to do with it, but whether or not they had anything to do with it, the mere possibility that such a flier could have been posted sincerely by such a group is alarming and deeply concerning.

No one familiar with the tendencies, beliefs, and behavior of Antifa, or the left generally, would be terribly surprised to find out that the above flier is real. These are, loosely speaking, the same people who brazenly and openly say things like this:

Really, how big of a leap is it from Laci Green–who I believe is with the Huffington Post–and her racist, misandrist bullshit to the flier attributed to Antifa? There is no dispute that here, a prominent liberal, openly and proudly said, “Fuck you, white America. Fuck you, you racist, misogynist pieces of shit.” Is that really any different from “Propogation [sic] of whites is propogation [sic] of hatred, oppression, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, racism, ableism…”? If anything, I would say that the fake Antifa sign is less extreme than Laci Green’s psychotic, hateful rant. Laci Green straight up said “Fuck you, white people.” The sign merely said “White people are evil.”

So, yes, when I saw the flier I assumed it was real, and that’s because America has become a shining symbol of Poe’s Law: parodies of extremism and fundamentalism are indistinguishable from extremism and fundamentalism. Why would I assume the sign isn’t real, when well-known liberals are brazenly spewing such hateful rhetoric?

Don’t go away yet! Because there’s also this threatening letter that was sent to several mosques in the United States.

Unlike the flier, this letter is easily dismissed as bullshit. This was clearly a liberal–or group of liberals–attempting to stir up controversy and continue the doom-mongering that we saw after the election, with headlines saying things like “Hold your loved ones close” and Jessica Valenti asking “How do I tell my daughter America elected a racist, misogynist bully?” There are a few telltale signs. First, Hitler is universally reviled, and even a Neo-Nazi wouldn’t say something like “[Trump] is going to do to you Muslims what Hitler did to the Jews.” With all the fake police reports filed by Muslims who pretended to be attacked and harassed, we know that this is a game that liberals are more than willing to play.

And judging by the flier, conservatives are more than willing to play it, too.

Because the likeliest scenario is that a conservative hung the Antifa fliers, attempting to drive people away from Antifa and call attention to their hateful rhetoric. Since they’ve gone on to vandalize property and cause riots just because some guy was going to speak and they didn’t want to hear what he had to say, it’s obvious that Antifa is a hate group. So this could very well have been a conservative who hung the flier, parodying the extremist positions of Antifa–or it could have been a rogue Antifa. Similarly, the letters to the mosques were probably liberals hoping to call attention the threat that Trump poses to Muslims (and he does pose a threat to Muslims, something I’ve never denied, but to black people, LGBT people, Hispanics, et al.? Not from anything he’s said or done.) by parodying the extremist positions of the alt-right–or it could have been a rogue alt-right Neo-Nazi.

The real problem is that there’s no way of knowing, and all the above scenarios are believable. I don’t at all find it hard to believe that some Antifa group would hang such a flier. Neither do I find it hard to believe that some Neo-Nazi would send such a letter. Leftist elements say hateful, terrible, racist, misandrist, cisphobic, heterophobic shit all the time, just as rightist elements say hateful, terrible, racist, misogynistic, transphobic, homophobic shit all the time. Granted, the leftist extremists have grown to encompass more of the Democratic Party than the right extremists comprise in the Republican Party, but it’s all believable.

These extremists have to be reined in by their respective parties and allies. This is a much larger issue on the left, as I said, where the “progressives,” as they call themselves, have come to totally dominate the party, drowning out all moderate voices and costing Hillary the election by driving away white and male voters by constantly making them into a scapegoat. The right is doing the same to Hispanics and Muslims–“immigrants” generally–but the wackier fringe elements of the right are… still on the fringe. The wacky, fringe left is pretty much “the left” these days, and it’s killing the Democratic Party.

Because it is more believable that Antifa would have hung this flier than it is that the KKK sent these letters to the mosques. On the Scale of Believability, that Antifa hung the fliers is 100% believable, while the notion that the KKK sent the aforementioned letter sits around 65% believable. The KKK and loud, racist, misogynistic, homophobic idiots just aren’t the loudest or most prominent voices in the Republican Party; hell, one of their loudest speakers is an openly gay man. Meanwhile, one of the left’s loudest speakers… is openly saying “Fuck you, white America.”

The American Left appears to be totally lost, with no idea what to do now that shouting and calling people racist is no longer enough to win elections. They are having the identity crisis that, four years ago, I expected the Republican Party to have. How is the left handling this? By and large, they want the party to become more extreme and to move more to the left. I’ve got to tell you, Democrats. If you think the problem is that your party isn’t to the left enough, then you’re more detached from the average person than I thought. But we know they’re really detached, because there remains a huge chunk of people who firmly believe that Sanders would have won the election.

How can they think anything else? They’ve been surrounded, in their cities and universities, for nearly their entire lives telling each other how glorious socialism is and how everyone wants socialism, so they assume this must be true of everyone. Yet there is nothing that would inspire people to get out and vote more than running a socialist for President would, but they wouldn’t be voting for the socialist. Such an election would have the highest turnout in American history, and it would be a landslide victory for whoever ran against the socialist.

The Democratic Party has the chance now to begin getting the extremists under control, but I honestly don’t see it happening. How can it, when media figures are some of the most extreme people out there? When leftist groups are rioting, setting fires, smashing windows, and committing violence to stifle free speech? They’ve characterized their opponents to such a degree that they no longer can react any other way, so I would guess that’s square one: accepting that the right isn’t filled with racist, misogynistic, homophobic, transphobic pieces of shit. I think the left should take a breath, chill the hell out, and tell themselves every single morning for the next two years, “Not all men are sexist. Not all straight people are homophobic. Not all white people are racist. Not all cisgender people are transphobic.”

And the right needs to get its fringe elements more under control, but, being honest here, the right simply isn’t much of a threat to anyone. They’ve had full control of the Federal Government for nearly a month, and they’ve done nothing. That should make the extreme leftists happy, shouldn’t it? We’ve been under “textbook fascism”–according to Laci Green’s weird definition of it–for almost a full month, and absolutely nothing has changed or happened. Our lives have carried on for the last month exactly as they did before, and while some people have been deported, that’s been going on for decades and isn’t new, and neither are travel bans. So really, no, nothing has changed or been remotely different. And the only black-clad, masked people I’ve seen going through the streets attacking people… have been leftists.

Both sides have a problem with extremism, and right extremism has certainly seen a surge since Trump’s victory, but it still isn’t mainstream. Leftist extremism is mainstream, so much so that it’s impossible to tell whether a tremendously racist flier from a liberal group is real or fake.

That’s a serious problem, and it’s going to take a lot of effort to fix. You can’t have people like Laci Green running around saying “Fuck you, white America” if you want people to see fliers like that and immediately know that it’s fake.

This Week in the Patriarchy…? Jessica Valenti, You Lunatic

Before I get too deeply into this foaming-at-the-mouth lunacy, I want to briefly turn to the definition of patriarchy, which Google, of course, handily provides:

Hm. Well, that was pretty cut-and-dry. As can easily be seen from the actual definition of the word, the United States is not a patriarchy. That Jessica Valenti would, in her liberal-soaked hysteria, resort to using such an inapplicable word to describe the situation in the United States serves as a wonderful example of exactly what is wrong with modern “progressives” and why Democrats just lost the election. So let me put it briefly.

Liberals, in case you haven’t noticed, you are preaching to the choir, and everyone who isn’t in your choir is absolutely sick of your raving, hyperbolic, nonsensical bullshit; everyone except dyed-in-the-wool Democrats are already sick and tired of the false dichotomy world you have attempted to craft, where either women are uncontestedly dominant or we live in a patriarchy, where any act of racism against a black person represents an oppressive neo-Nazi system, but where your frequent attacks against white people, men, and Christians go unchallenged by your very own condemnations of racism, sexism, and religious discrimination.

Yes, this, liberals, is exactly what you are doing wrong, and you are continuing to do it as though it didn’t just cost you the presidency, the Supreme Court, the House of Representatives, the Senate, a record number of governorships, and control of every single Federal three-letter agency. This psychosis–because no other word adequately describes it–that you are creating and fostering where either “Republicans lose” or “[We are now under] [t]extbook fascism!” This insanely polarized world where either “Regardless of the outcome, we need to work to mend and heal… as long as Hillary wins” or “Fuck you, you racist, misogynist pieces of shit, [White America],” and where we either have a matriarchy–which we obviously don’t–or we have a patriarchy.

That’s the true danger underlying this insane dribble that these people are putting forward, I’ve talked about it at length and in podcasts, in articles, in videos–everywhere. They can’t even comprehend that we might live in a world where there is neither a patriarchy nor a matriarchy, where things aren’t perfect for either sex, and where men have some advantages and women have some advantages. In their minds, we are not living in a matriarchy, and thus, we must be living in a patriarchy.

Let’s talk for a moment about the liberal idea that a person’s gender shouldn’t matter. Now let’s bask in the anger that “liberals” are displaying because that “glass ceiling didn’t shatter.” Excuse me… You can either say that gender shouldn’t matter, or you can say that it sucks a woman didn’t win the presidency. You can’t say both, because, unlike so many of the black-and-white false dichotomies you throw our way, this actually is exclusive: either something matters or it doesn’t. If gender doesn’t matter, then there is no glass ceiling, as it is utterly and completely irrelevant what gender the person is when they are elected President.

And going as far as saying that we are a patriarchy because we have a male president–allow me to ask, then, would that make us a matriarchy if Hillary had won? Of course not. Anyway, that aside, liberals have, again, moved the goal posts, and this is what is destroying the Progressive movement. You can argue that gender shouldn’t matter, or you can be upset that a vagina didn’t win the presidency. It’s a true dichotomy, and the way you moved the goalpost while pretending you are still fighting for the same equality and egalitarianism that began with the Civil Rights Movement is precisely why you’ve bled support.

It’s not because the White Supremacist, capitalist patriarchal oligarchy fought back.

It’s because you went from “Gender, race, and orientation shouldn’t matter” to “We want a matriarchy! Black supremacy! Special benefits for LGBT people!”

You know what? I already made a video about this subject. So I’ll just end this article now and post it here. It’s long, so grab a cup of coffee or tea, a cigarette, get comfortable, and watch.

No, I Will NOT Be Afraid

A lot of people are telling me that I should be afraid.

Actually, let me correct that. A lot of people say that people like me should be afraid, but–in a true victory for trolling–they say this without any awareness that I am one of the people they’re talking about. I have had countless people in the past two days tell me how terrified LGBT people are, and it always makes me grin to tell them, “Hey. I’m transgender. And I’m not afraid.”

It’s rather like watching their ideological train smash straight into a wall.

Actually, it’s exactly like that.

But it’s true. A lot of people are telling me that I should be afraid, because they want to justify their power grab. These people are swept up in baseless hysteria–just as we saw during the clown bullshit–and they have become completely lost in their own delusional fever pitch of panic and frenzied insanity. I tried to be nice about this, but–holy shit–these people are batshit insane. They are completely detached from reality, having spent the past year in their echo chambers–they call them “safe spaces”–telling each other about how evil and horrible Trump was, just perpetuating to one another what they’d heard and working themselves into a frothing madness that no longer bears any resemblance to what you and I would call “the real world.”

They have gone… totally insane.

They invented safe spaces–these places where they could go and not hear things they didn’t want to hear. Considering that among those things they don’t want to hear are “dissenting opinions,” it’s no wonder that they’ve spent years now in echo chambers. When they hear something they don’t like, they shout, “Triggered!” and flee to the comfort of their safe space, where they interact only with other people who were triggered and fled to the safe space, and where they are assured that everyone with whom they discuss politics, reality, and society will, because they’re sharing a safe space, agree.

I mean holy shit. It’s no wonder, as they sat in echo chambers repeating to one another all of their fears, that they went insane. They purposely cut themselves off from everything they didn’t want to hear, and purposely surrounded themselves with people who would reiterate everything they already believed. Anyone who disagreed with them violated their safe space and was thrown out. So henceforth I will no longer use the phrase “safe space.” I will call it what it is: an echo chamber.

in-fucking-sanityJust imagine being a disabled person and taking in information only when it comes from people who side with you ideologically. We already know that this happens. And if you don’t agree with them ideologically, as soon as you speak, they’ll shriek that you’re disabled-phobic and flee to their echo chamber, where they will be surrounded only by people who tell them what they want to hear. It’s a recipe for insanity.

There’s no other word for it. The result is there for anyone who wants to see it. We currently have millions of Americans who truly believe that Donald Trump is either going to utterly destroy their rights or put them in death camps (Really, some think that). They* are insane. And they are saying some of the most hateful, vitriolic, and disgusting things that I’ve ever heard one person say about other human beings. What is the source of their scorn and disgust?

That some people have different values than they do.

Which, of course, obviously means those other people are LITERALLY Hitler.

They’ve relied on their echo chambers for all their information, even though Wikileaks revealed to us that their echo chamber is exactly that. But they didn’t care. “Lies!” they said. “Lies from the Russians!” they claimed, without a bit of evidence to support it, but that didn’t matter. A liberal told them the Russians were doing it, so it was true. And when a liberal told them the FBI investigation was bullshit and Hillary had done nothing criminal, they accepted it as true.

Actually, if we look at it realistically, this is what happened:

Sanders said Hillary was corrupt, may have called her a criminal; I’m not sure. Liberals believed Hillary was corrupt.

Sanders changed his mind and said Hillary was good. Liberals believed Hillary wasn’t corrupt.

Hillary lost, and suddenly Hillary was corrupt again.

If that doesn’t exemplify sheer insanity, then I’m honestly not sure what else can. It couldn’t be clearer unless they wore shirts that said, “We believe whatever we want to believe in any given moment, and you can’t challenge us because we’ll retreat to our Safe Space Echo Chambers where we don’t have to listen to you, you racist Nazi.”

Here’s another example.

Sanders supporters riot at the Nevada Democratic Convention? “It’s not Sanders’s fault.”

Hillary supporters riot after Hillary loses the election? “It’s not Hillary’s fault.”

Trump supporters attack a minority? “OMG TRUMP IS LITERALLY HITLER AND THIS IS HIS FAULT”

Of course, some racist piece of shit people are out there doing fucked up things. But you can’t criticize them for that if you’re being racist yourself. Laci Green, if you’re saying things like “fuck you, white America!” then you don’t really have any ground to stand on when you criticize people for being racist and chanting “White power!” What do you expect them to do when you say “fuck you” to them like that? You can only push people so far.

I condemn racism in all its forms. Don’t read the above paragraph through a partisan lens, or you’ll come to the conclusion that I’m condoning Neo-Nazis.

That’s the world liberals have made–the world of Us and Them. I can’t even tell liberals that they’re being insane without them accusing me of being a Trump supporter. Why is that? Because that’s what they think. If you’re not with them, you’re against them, and “against them” is “Trump supporter.” So if I don’t accede to every batshit crazy thing they say, they will conclude that I must be a Trump supporter.

I will say this. Liberals, it is primarily you that is pushing America to the edge of the cliff. Conservatives certainly are not helping, but surely you must see that you can’t constantly say things like “Middle America is racist” and “fuck you, white America” without them striking back. Surely you can see that things like “fuck you, white America” will piss them off? If you lump them into a group and then attack that group, you should not be surprised when that group hits back. Put it another way. After all the chants of “Black Power!” and “Black Lives Matter!” how can you possibly be surprised that some people would start shouting “White power”?

Yes, Laci. You guys didn’t just let this happen; you made this happen.

Of course I condemn this; it’s not the right way to solve the problem.

We have to turn back from the abyss now.

* I’m obviously not referring to every single liberal. I’m only applying these labels to people who exhibit this behavior. And while my words are harsher than they need to be, it’s rather hard to be kind to people who are being so vitriolic.
